Looking for constant work?

If you are starting on a new career, looking for a new challenge, or have lost your current role, you need to look for certainty and security of employment. Even when you are a casual employee, these roles often lead to full time employment opportunities. By taking all the casual work that you can, you are also building a good work ethic and history of employment that will hold you in good repute when you are offered a full time role.

My advice is for you to search for work in your area of skills and the location that you live in or have accommodation where you could relocate to work. The idea behind this is that if the current region that you are in has no work for your skills, you will be wasting a lot of time and effort. Eventually, constant searching and knock backs will wear you down and you will start to lose your focus. You should also value your time while searching for jobs, as if you are working. Remember that searching for your new or continuing role is your current job, as you want to maximise your efforts to gain the very best results in your ongoing employment.

Look at the job portals and try and find the companies with the most ads, as these businesses have a steady flow of work and this is what you are looking for. If you are registered with a number of companies, then make sure you tell them that you have work or you are still looking for work. If you find a company that is always recruiting and sends you job requests by email or SMS, either take them instantly or let them know that you are working. If you aren’t getting sent work, ask them why, as you may have not told them you had work so they may have stopped sending you information, or you may not be asked back by a certain company due to an issue on site. If companies advertise on Facebook like CTC does, then ensure that you get the feeds coming through and always say yes to work.

If you are consistent you will get lots of work.
