Zombies invade the CTC Rocky River Run!
Following on from the success of Capricorn Coast’s latest event, the Great Zombie Escape last year, CTC are organising another Zombie Run in conjunction with the CTC Rocky River Run in June.
On Saturday, 4 June 2016, Queensland will be infected with zombies across the nation. The Zombie Race in Rockhampton will start at 3pm with the finish line at CQ Leagues Club which is also the venue for the devilish after party. Professional zombie makeup artists will be available on the day.
Zombie themed races are popular across Australia and the world. “The Run for Your Lives” zombie event is a thrilling worldwide race that takes place in Sydney and also cities in Asia and America. Along with this, the Zombie Shuffle across Australia is always a hugely anticipated event where people dress up in their best zombie outfits.
Many runners use the Zombie Run as a warm up for the traditional race on Sunday – the CTC Rocky River Run. Funds raised for this event will support youth issues including homelessness, unemployment, mental health and the prevention of youth suicide. In light of the current youth unemployment situation in Queensland, this fun run will undoubtedly be a much welcomed event in this area.
